That's our bedroom. Yes, the cot is right beside my side of the bed, but I figure I'm not going to be getting much sleep the first few months anyway, so I might as well not have far to go to get the bub.
We can't really have the window open at night, the street is too noisy. It's not traffic, it's drunk students walking past. Apart from that, we're loving our new pad. It's a bit dark in the mornings, but lovely when the sun is streaming in in the afternoons.
Me, I'm still loving this whole not being at work thing. It's made such a difference to my outlook on life. I don't think being harrassed at work is good for anyone's psyche. However, I daren't ask how many emails a day my colleagues are receiving from the twat that was harrassing me. It would be far too scary, or maybe depressing if he weren't doing it to them. Nevertheless, I don't have to worry about him anymore, and that is the biggest relief I've felt in a long time.
I caught up with Kiwigirl briefly earlier this week. She was out walking kiwibabe (their daughter born at the beginning of march). You can't half see the family resemblance between kiwiboy and kiwibabe! It's incredibly. I'm looking forward to spending a lot more time with her once albuqueque graces us with his or her presence. Kiwigirl is looking fab, lost all her baby belly already, looking like she's enjoying this whole motherhood thing.
Ooh, we went to the theatre on Friday Night to see A New Statesman (Rik Mayall number). The best bits were when something went wrong and they had to deal with it. It was worth seeing, but the first act was a lot more clever than the second. The second act descended into the normal, cheap, fairly peurile jokes that you'd expect from a Rik Mayall thing. The first act was a lot more politically clever. But all in all, a good night out.
